Judy
Schaefer, RNC, MA, is an author, editor, lecturer,
teacher, and advocate for patients as well as for
nurses.
Schaefer is a
pioneering editor of the first biographical work about
nurses who write poetry.
She is the
co-editor
of the first international anthology of
creative writing by nurses.
She is the author of a collection of poetry.
She has experience in clinical settings
including pediatrics, hematology, Home IV infusion,
orthopedics, rehab, and long term acute care.
Schaefer has presented at literary conferences in
Ireland and Great Britain and lectures part time.
She was born on a farm in Missouri. She is a proud
mother and grandmother and lives in Pennsylvania with her
